Toronto Web Fest announced by the Independent Web Series Creators of Canada

[July 23, 2013 Toronto] – The Independent Web Series Creators of Canada (IWCC), Canada’s non-profit professional association for web series creators, is pleased to announce it will be hosting Toronto’s very own Web Series Festival: TO WebFest.  This is the most recent in an explosion of such events around the world celebrating web series and web series creators, from Hong Kong to MelbourneLA to Marseille, and London (UK) to Vancouver.

Toronto is a hot bed for web series creation and creators and the IWCC has answered the call for the city to host its own celebration of narrative series original to the web. Toronto Web Fest will be held in Spring 2014 coinciding with the organization’s first annual general meeting.

Formed earlier this year, the IWCC is dedicated to supporting and bringing awareness to independent and creator-driven, audience-focused web series in Canada and internationally. The IWCC-CIWC is also a proud supporting partner of the Vancouver Web Fest. The IWCC plans a wide range of activities to support and promote its members, including raising awareness with the public and media through various events across Canada.
